Meet me at Casa Romantica

A breathtaking, straight Instagram-worthy Orange County garden wedding venue with gorgeous ocean views, spacious layouts inside and out and abundant with historical charm. Think Terracotta rooftops and cream-colored archways. Rich with culture and enough room for 150 guests, you’ll have access to the estate home and gardens. This is certainly one of my favorite San Clemente wedding venues.

We have Eric and Helene, no other than high school sweethearts. Helene was going through her residency, and Eric is a teacher. When talking with the couple, Eric handled everything. He was the planner. As Helene was off saving the world!!

A celebration worth waiting for

Like all weddings in 2021, this was a big party. They had postponed their original 2020 wedding a year later than they wanted and so they pulled out all the stops. Neon lights, ocean views and a party so hardcore, it shut the power off! I loved everything about their wedding (enough that I decided to get married in San Clemente too!)

Florals as stunning as the ocean views

Their florals made the entire reception pop, creating an atmosphere that put their own take on the already beautiful ambiance of the venue.

Neon signs to brighten their Casa Romantica wedding

This was actually the first couple I filmed that had a neon sign. It’s safe to say that I am now OBSESSED with neon signs.

A sidestep to practice the first dance

They stepped away later on to practice their first dance in a tight space hidden from the cocktail hour crowd. They had a Youtube video up of what she wanted the dance to be so they practiced while their little cocker spaniel (another star of the show) occasionally expressed her frustration for being ignored with a sweet little bark. It was a great moment to capture.

The perfect amount of energy & emotion

Fun, energetic and traditional too with their Catholic ceremony, this entire Casa Romantica wedding had the perfect amount of emotion and energy. Eric was so patient and attentive to Helene. And I felt like Helene was just so happy that this day had arrived. As a delayed COVID wedding, I felt like she was just one big sigh of relief to finally be there, a sigh of relief that let her relax into the occasion.
