Choosing Vendors for Your Wedding

The Bel Air Bay Club does provide a preferred vendor list to their couples; however, they also permit you to select the professional vendors of your choosing in order to bring your wedding day to life. You can work with the wedding videographer, photographer, planner, designer, and florist who best suit your overall wedding day vision. 

The only provision for working with wedding vendors pertains to rentals. Do you plan on working with an outside rental company for your wedding day needs? If so, the venue does require that the company and rentals of your choice are approved by the Bel Air Bay Club in advance. This will ensure each aspect of your venue contract is adhered to.

Total Capacity

Bel Air Bay Club can accommodate weddings with anywhere from 50 to 275 guests in attendance. If you find that your guest list is closer to the maximum capacity of 275 guests, there is space for a sit-down dining and dancing inside the club. Allowable Event Time for Your Wedding

The total hosted time of a Bel Air Bay Club wedding is six hours. The venue is flexible in working with you to select a six-hour time frame that works best for your wedding, as long as it falls within their operating hours. Find detailed operating hours per day, listed below.

Accessing the Venue on the Day of Your Wedding

If you plan on dressing for the day at one of the venues’ on-site getting ready suites, you may access the dressing rooms after 8:00 am on the day of your wedding. This will allow you plenty of time with your videographer for those cherished getting-ready moments with your family and friends by your side as you button your gown or fasten your cufflinks in preparation for your vows.

Guest Parking at Bel Air Bay Club

The parking lot at Bel Air Bay Club is only equipped to accommodate up to 35 cars. If you are expecting more than 35 cars at your wedding, including your wedding vendors, then you will need to book valet services.

If you have decided to offer your guests shuttle service to the venue, it is suggested that the shuttles accommodate over 30 passengers, or that there are several shuttles running to and from the venue. Shuttle service will also require that you work with a parking lot attendant.

Valet and parking attendants at Bel Air Bay Club are exclusively handled through Quality Parking. You will need to contract this service separately from the venue.

Open Air Wedding Ceremonies on the Lawn at Bel Air Bay Club

Set against the backdrop of the glittering waters of the Pacific Ocean, Bel Air Bay Club can host a wedding ceremony on its idyllic cliffside lawn. This breathtaking backdrop is accented by towering palm trees and distant sandy shores. All in all, providing a stunning location on the grounds of the venue for you to host your vows under the clear blue skies of Pacific Palisades.

Seating Arrangements for Your Ceremony

There are two distinct seating arrangements for a Bel Air Bay Club wedding ceremony. The first is a semi-circle, with rows of chairs slightly rounded, facing the main focal point of the ceremony space.  The second option for a seating arrangement is to set up guest chairs in a straight line, directly facing the ocean.

The total number of chairs per row will depend on your final guest count. For example, if your wedding will have a total of 200 guests in attendance, straight row seating will include 8 rows on either side of the aisle. For angled seating, facing Malibu or Santa Monica, there will be 10-15 rows per side. 

If you have a desired preference for the seating arrangements at your wedding ceremony, it is recommended that you work directly with your planner in order to carry out your vision.

The Dining Room at Bel Air Bay Club

Perhaps the most renowned location to host your Bel Air Bay Club wedding reception is the Dining Room. The Dining Room is a spacious setting for dinner and dancing, ideally suited to those with a larger-sized guest list. It features a vaulted ceiling, sparkling chandeliers, and a fireplace. The ambiance in this space is grand and elegant, with stunning ocean views, while you dance the night away as newlyweds. An ocean view balcony is located just steps away from the dining room. Altogether creating a romantic setting to enjoy the coastal sunset with the backdrop of the Santa Monica pier on the night of your wedding.

The Courtyard Patio at Bel Air Bay Club

For an intimate wedding dinner experience, the Bel Air Bay Club offers a festive outdoor Spanish-Style Courtyard Patio. This outdoor space has fountain views, a fireplace, and endless rows of cafe lighting for you to celebrate under the stars. Much like the Dining Room, this space also features awe-inspiring coastline views with an overall atmosphere of Southern Californian beach-chic decor. The Courtyard Patio can accommodate up to 120 guests in total, and does not have space for dancing.

The Living Room at Bel Air Bay Club

The final space offered for a Bel Air Bay Club wedding reception is the Living Room. This intimate space is best suited for weddings with fewer than 100 guests in attendance. The Living Room can accommodate dinner and dancing and features panoramic windows to take in the sprawling ocean views. This space is also often used as a ‘rain plan’ option for couples to host their ceremony in the event of inclement weather. Lastly, the Living Room is also an ideal breakout location for hosting your cocktail hour after your ceremony and before your reception.

Selecting Your Wedding Day Menu

Catering is offered at Bel Air Bay Club exclusively through their in-house service. Executive Chef Peter Edwards and his dedicated team are at the helm of all the culinary delights crafted for couples on one of the most memorable days of their life. 

Once you have reserved your wedding date, tasting menus are offered as a group experience. The menu selection at the group tasting will include the venue’s most popular selections and is considered ‘Chef’s choice’.

Lastly, outside food will not be permitted for your wedding. The only exception is your wedding cake, which may be ordered through your preferred baker.

Bel Air Bay Club Wedding Cost

The total cost of a Bel Air Bay Club wedding includes your food & beverage experience, as well as your venue fee. This covers your cocktail hour, choice of dinner service: plated, buffet, or stations, dessert selection, children’s meals, and late-night bites. Drink options range from service in your getting-ready suite to welcome cocktails for your guests, specialty cocktails, and open bar. 

April through November

Wedding season at Bel Air Bay Club takes place during the months of April through November. The day of the week that your wedding is planned will carry a specific food and beverage minimum, in addition to your site fee ($5000), sales tax (9.75%), and a service charge (22%). Below are the expected starting minimums for weddings hosted from April through November.

• Sunday weddings during these months require a food and beverage minimum guarantee of $27,500
• Friday weddings during these months require a food and beverage minimum guarantee of $30,000
• Saturday weddings during these months require a food and beverage minimum guarantee of $55,000

December through March

Off-season for Bel Air Bay Club weddings takes place during the months of December through March. Much like wedding season, weddings taking place during this time frame will carry food and beverage minimums, in addition to your site fee ($5000), sales tax (9.75%), and a service charge (22%). Below are the expected starting minimums for weddings hosted from December through March.

• Friday or Sunday evening weddings during these months require a food and beverage minimum guarantee of $22,500
• Saturday evening weddings during these months require a food and beverage minimum guarantee of $30,000
• Weddings on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday during these months require a food and beverage minimum guarantee of  $20,000

In addition to the above-referenced food and beverage minimums for each season, it is also important to note that your Bel Air Bay Club wedding cost may be contingent upon your total expected guest count or the expected minimums, whichever is greater.

Lastly, the total price for a Bel Air Bay Club wedding can fluctuate at any time of the year, regardless of season, for weddings taking place on a holiday or a holiday weekend.

Pacific Palisades Wedding Venues With Overnight Accommodations

If you are searching for Pacific Palisades wedding venues that offer overnight accommodations, Bel Air Bay Club has a total of nine guest rooms on site. These rooms are available by reservation only. Each of these beautifully appointed suites will allow your out-of-town guests or the members of your wedding party to enjoy an extended amount of time in your presence during your coastal-inspired wedding weekend.
